Yard Personnel – Heavy Equipment Experience Required

Looking for a hands-on position where you’re not stuck behind a desk all day? Folsom Ready Mix is looking for dependable, hardworking Yard Personnel with heavy equipment experience to join our Rancho Cordova team.

This is an important role in our day-to-day operation. You’ll help keep our yard and plant running safely and efficiently while working with equipment, materials, and different members of our operations team.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Operate forklifts, loaders, backhoes, and other heavy equipment to move and load materials throughout the yard.

• Load rock and other materials into designated bins and areas.

• Assist with maintaining reclaim areas and keeping them clean and operational.

• Support plant and maintenance personnel when equipment or plant issues arise.

• Move materials and equipment safely from one area of the facility to another.

• Maintain the yard by shoveling, sweeping, hosing down work areas, removing debris, and completing general cleanup.

• Perform basic landscaping and grounds maintenance, including weeding and raking.

• Empty trash and material bins as needed.

• Assist with general labor, maintenance, and other operational needs throughout the plant.

• Follow all company safety procedures while working around trucks, equipment, and active plant operations.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• Previous heavy equipment experience is required.

• Loader and/or forklift experience is strongly preferred.

• Dependable transportation and reliable attendance.

• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

• Ability to effectively communicate and understand work instructions, equipment procedures, and safety information necessary to perform the job safely.

• Ability to report to work at 6:00 AM or earlier and work a flexible schedule, including overtime and Saturdays, based on business needs.

• Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform the physical duties of the position, including lifting and moving heavy objects, with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Ability to work outdoors and around active plant operations.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Precast experience is a plus, but not required.

• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus, but not required.
