Carpenter

PAY: $22.00 to $28.00 PER HOUR, DEPENDING ON WHAT YOU CAN DO

Overtime paid as worked. Year round work in Coweta County and the surrounding counties. No travel, no per diem, no out of town jobs. You are home every night.

THE JOB

Johnson Construction Group is hiring a carpenter for our commercial and residential jobsites. You report to our Superintendent and work on a small crew. This is a carpenter seat, not a labor seat. We have laborers already.

WHAT YOU WILL BE BUILDING

• Rough framing, walls, floors, roofs and structural components to plan
• Finish carpentry, trim, doors, windows, cabinets and hardware
• Decking, siding and blocking
• Building and stripping concrete forms
• Layout from drawings, confirming dimensions before you build
• Demolition and selective tear out on renovation work

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

• You can read construction drawings and a written scope of work and build from them
• You can lay out your own work without somebody standing over you
• Your own hand tools and the normal cordless tools of the trade. We supply the big equipment and all material
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to the jobsite
• You show up on time, you do good work, and you tell the Superintendent when something goes wrong instead of burying it

PHYSICAL

• Lift up to 75 pounds and be on your feet all day
• Climb ladders and scaffolding and work at height
• Work outdoors in heat, cold and weather

You need to live within a reasonable drive of Coweta County. We do not pay relocation.

There is room to move up here for somebody who wants it.
