Job Summary:

The incumbent filling this position will serve at the rank of Research Scientist or Senior Research Scientist, have significant experience as a Project Management Professional (PMP), and will lead day-to-day operations of a large, translational research program spanning preclinical and clinical research activities. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) faculty position in a fast-paced environment supported by federal funding. Work will occur primarily on campus (in-person). The incumbent will work alongside a highly collaborative multi-disciplinary team of clinician-investigators, preclinical researchers, regulatory experts, analysts and programmers, professional research assistants, and other research staff.

The incumbent will be a full-time member of the Department of Emergency Medicine and will support research and development related to hemorrhage and resuscitation. COMBAT focuses on creating and executing acute care research to fulfill the needs of the U.S. military and our Colorado communities. COMBAT facilitates the execution of collaborative combat and deployment-relevant research by fostering relationships among military scientists, clinical investigators, combat leaders, and field operators to produce successful innovations, materiel solutions, and knowledge products of high impact to the warfighter and the medics.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated expertise in program management and relevant expertise in translational science, public health, epidemiology, health-related science, or a related field. They will have a passion for collaborative research (team science), will be detail oriented, and contribute to development of detailed research plans and interpretation of data.

In addition, the candidate should be able to work independently and manage a portfolio of concurrent projects, with excellent written and oral communication skills to contribute to program reports, presentations, and scientific writing.

The job requires in-person duties and will be performed on the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, CO.
