DevOps Engineer - Base44

Job Description

As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll drive, scale, and optimize our cloud environment, focusing on resilient infrastructure, cost optimization, and automation. You'll collaborate with Security, internal interfaces, vendors, and partners to develop solutions that align with business goals. If you're an infrastructure expert with strong coding skills and a passion for cost-efficiency and communication, this role is for you.

In your day-to-day, you will:

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable, highly available cloud infrastructure with a focus on resilience, automation, and security  
• Analyze cloud expenditure, design cost-effective architectures, and drive FinOps strategies to optimize operational expenses  
• Develop tools, automations, and features driven by Security team requirements to ensure strong posture and compliance  
• Act as a key technical focal point when engaging with vendors, external partners, and internal engineering/product stakeholders  
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to enable seamless deployment processes  
• Ensure full visibility into system health, performance, and operational metrics

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a DevOps Engineer managing complex, high-availability production environments  
• Proficient with AI-assisted engineering tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex) and comfortable using LLMs day-to-day to accelerate scripting, troubleshooting and infrastructure work
• Experience integrating AI agents or LLM workflows into operational processes (incident response, runbooks, CI/CD, MCP-based tooling) – an advantage
• Proven expertise in infrastructure, networking fundamentals, and Linux system internals
• Proficient in programming/scripting with experience building operational tools and integrating security automation  
• Demonstrated ability to design cost-effective cloud architectures and optimize operational cloud budgets  
• Customer facing skills - comfortable interacting directly with vendors, partners, and internal teams  
• Hands-on proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation  
• Solid experience with automated agentic CI/CD pipelines and monitoring tools (e.g., GitHub, Datadog)
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud solutions and managed services – an advantage  
• Experience building, maintaining, or scaling high-volume/large-scale distribution environments – an advantage
