AB Facility Services (ABFS) provides commercial facility services, including building maintenance, engineering, janitorial, and mechanical services throughout the Northeast.
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and motivated Engineering Apprentice who is interested in learning building maintenance and engineering. This is a hands-on opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and develop skills in building systems and maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Assist with basic building maintenance and engineering tasks.
- Learn and assist with basic HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Perform routine inspections and report maintenance issues.
- Assist with preventative maintenance and basic repairs.
- Learn to safely use hand and power tools.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas.
- Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines.
- Support engineers and maintenance staff with daily tasks.
Qualifications
- Previous maintenance, construction, mechanical, or trade experience is a plus but not required.
- Willingness to learn and develop hands-on skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
- Comfortable working with tools and performing physical tasks.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Trade school, vocational training, or apprenticeship experience is a plus.
